Case against Sphulinga editor, publisher
Kotwali police station yesterday lodged a case against Mia Abdus Sattar, publisher and chief editor of Daily Sphulinga, Apu, editor of the Daily and Abdul Kuddus, owner of Mollah Press, for publishing the newspaper even after the cancellation of its declaration.
Police said Magistrate Mina Shamsuzzaman raided Mollah Press at Sheikhhati and seized 6 plates of the Daily.
The declaration of Daily Sphulinga, a regional daily, was cancelled on September 22.
The case was filed under sections 32 and 33 of the Printing and Publication Act 1973.
