Cases filed against 17 car owners
A special mobile court in a raid yesterday filed cases against 17 car owners and fined a total of Tk 6000 for violating Environment Preservation Act 1997, says a press release.
A team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police led by Magistrate ABM Abdul Fattah conducted the raid in the city's Manik Mia Avenue and examined 20 cars to see whether they are emitting black smoke.
Cases were filed against the owners of 17 air-polluting cars under the Environment Preservation Act 1997.
