Cellphone use while driving to be banned
With a view to checking road accidents, the government will soon amend the Motor Vehicle Act to ban use of cellphone while driving.
The Ministry of Law yesterday approved the amendment after the communications ministry sought its opinion on issuing a circular in this regard.
The bar on use of cellphone while driving will soon come into effect.
