Child drowns, two missing as boat sinks in Ctg
One minor child drowned and two others went missing when a boat sank at the Halda river near Rosangiri under Fatikchari upazila in the district yesterday.
The victim was identified as Riya Akhter, 7, a class two student of Rosangiri Primary School.
Sources said the boat carrying 15 students of nearby Rosangiri Primary School was crossing the river Halda when it sank at 10:00am due to strong current and on-rush of hilly water.

However, local people rescued the other passengers including twelve children, sources said.
