'CityCell-Channel i Music Award' kicks off

Styled as 'CityCell-Channel i Music Award 2005', the event will honour the artistes for their performances in 2005 in 18 areas of music.

Participants, both individuals and organisations, will have to send a cassette or CD of their music released between January 1 and December 31, 2005 to Channel i office by the June 20, officials of Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited, the owning company of CityCell and Channel i told a press conference in the city yesterday.

The awards will be given for the second time this year.

A board of jury for each of 18 categories will nominate the winners. The final programme will be held on August 31.
