Closure of Jai Jai Din condemned
Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) yesterday expressed deep concern at the sudden closure of the daily Jai Jai Din.
In a statement, BFUJ President Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul and Secretary General Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan and DUJ President Altaf Mahmud and General Secretary Omar Faruque, condemning the closure, said over 100 journalists and employees became jobless due to the closure of the daily.
The leaders urged the authorities of the daily to resume its publication immediately and withdraw all termination letters already served to the newsmen and employees.
