Cloths worth Tk 50 lakh seized
Officials of Customs Intelligence and Investigations Directorate seized cloths worth around Tk 50 lakh from Islampur and Rayerbagh in the city yesterday.
Acting on a tip off, officials of the directorate seized a pick-up van laden with Indian sari at Rayerbagh on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at around 3:00am.
Later they raided Islampur in Old Dhaka and seized a covered van filled with garments cloths.
