Coalition rulers trying to hold polls with 'fake' voter list
Hasina, also Awami League president, made the remarks when the newly appointed Australian High Commissioner, Bouglas Fogkett, met the opposition leader at her Sudha Sadan residence.
"We consider election as a democratic process while the government tries to use it as a crooked device of self-defence," she told the envoy.

Briefing newsmen opposition leader's political secretary Saber Hossain Chowdhury said issues of elections, militancy, terrorism and extra-judicial killing were discussed during the meeting that lasted one and a half hours.
"Unless the patrons of militancy are identified, militancy cannot be eliminated. The militants will be used against Awami League during the next elections," he said.
On "extra-judicial killing", Saber said it is the "political decision of the government who to be killed in crossfire or who released."
AL General Secretary Abdul Jalil MP, Syed Abul Hossain MP, Saber Chowdhury and former Ambassador Ziauddin were present at the meeting.
