On the occasion, different socio-political and cultural organisations have chalked out various programmes.

Colonel Taher Sangsad will organise a discussion titled 'Trial of Colonel Taher killing: Movement and legal procedure' at Teacher Student Centre (TSC) at Dhaka University at 4:00pm.

Renowned Journalist Laurence Lifschultz, Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain, Workers' Party President Rashed Khan Menon, Vice President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Sharif Nurul Ambia and General Secretary of Colonel Taher Sangsad Ruhul Kuddus will attend the programme.

The discussion will be followed by prize giving ceremony of a painting competition and a play titled 'Kotha 71', a Dhaka Padatik production.

Besides, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal will hold a demonstration demanding trial of his killers at the graveyard of Colonel Taher in Purbadhala, Mymensingh.
