Concern over gang rape of garment worker

A group of people, led by supervisor of the garment factory at Jamgara area of Ashulia, sexually abused the female garment worker.

Karmajibi Nari President Shirin Akhter and General Secretary Sharmin Kabir in a statement demanded exemplary punishment to the culprits involved in the incident. They said psychological and physical torture on women and women workers has alarmingly been increasing day by day.

They urged the authorities concerned to take necessary steps immediately to end the continuous oppression and violence against the female garment workers.
