Construction of Tongi flyover to begin in few weeks

Communications Minister Nazmul Huda said at an opinion exchange and discussion programme at Tongi with local people, public representatives and project officials.

Primary works for the construction, including eviction of infrastructures and land acquisition, are going on in the project area for the flyover to be built at a cost of about Tk 18 crore.

The severe traffic congestion in the Tongi Industrial area and in other parts of the capital city is likely to ease on completion of the flyover.
