Contrabands worth Tk 30 lakh seized
A truckload of contrabands, including Indian sarees, drugs, electronic goods and motor parts, was seized at the toll plaza of Jamuna Bridge yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, Jamuna Bridge (west) police seized the truck of Karatoa Courier Service at about 3:00am and brought it to the police station.
Later, the illegal goods, worth Tk 30 lakh, were recovered in presence of a first class magistrate on the police station premises at about 11:00am.
