Copies of current issue disappear off newsstands

It is alleged that the CBA leaders and their men have bought up the copies from different parts of the country, including Dhaka, Narayanganj, Narail and Jessore, in order to hide their activities from the people.

CBA leaders BM Baqir Hossain of Sonali Bank, Firoz Mia of BTTB, Faruq Hasan of Titas Gas, Amir Khasru of Rajdhani Unnayan Katripakkha (Rajuk), Abul Hossin and Kazi Mosharaf Hossain of Dhaka Electric Supply Authority (Desa), Abul Kashem Chowdhury of Water Development Board, Zafrul Hasan of Power Development Board and Aminul Haq Faruk of Sonali Bank and their activities were featured in the cover story of the current issue of the magazine.

The story tells how the leaders have amassed crores of taka despite the fact they draw a salary of about Tk seven thousand each, says a press release of the magazine.

As the copies are no longer available in the market, the hawkers have been thronging the office of the Shaptahik 2000 to get more copies, the press release added.
