CPB sticks to decision, blames AL

The CPB leaders at a press conference also blamed the main opposition Awami League for its indecision to fix the date for hartal protesting price hike of essentials and fuel and other action programmes to press home their 11-point demand.

CPB General Secretary Mujahidul Islam Selim in his written statement said that the frequent changes of the date for the proposed hartal is the outcome of the hesitation and crisis among the allies in the opposition movement.

"This is simply a childish and ridiculous conduct," Selim said, adding "Retreating attitude and opportunism in opposition movement are hindering the oust-government movement."

CPB announced that the Queen's Baton Relay programme and some emergency services would remain outside the purview of hartal.
