CTG Bar lawyers withdraw work abstention

With this, an unprecedented 98-day work abstention by the bar members ended. The lawyers began the agitation against Gafur protesting some of his 'unilateral' decisions including changing of court hours.

KM Bashir Ullah joined as the new Chittagong District and Session Judge yesterday.

Earlier on Tuesday night, the association made the decision in an urgent meeting to join the court of Bashir Ullah. Association President Mohammed Khairul Islam presided over the meeting.

The association leaders greeted the new judge and decided to render full cooperation.
