Speakers at a discussion yesterday urged the Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) authorities to construct a monument in the capital in memory of those members of the armed forces who made supreme sacrifices during their UN peacekeeping missions across the globe.

The discussion was organised by Rhythm Cultural Society at the National Press Club in the city in memory of 15 Bangladeshi peacekeepers who died in a plan crash in Benin in 2003.
