Dhaka ready to expand transit facility

The FM said this when Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population of Nepal Amik Sherchan met him at his office yesterday.

During the meeting, he said Bangladesh has already developed Banglabandha Land Port with immigration and port facilities.

Both the ministers hoped that trade and economic activities would be strengthened further between the two countries with the development of communication infrastructures.

They discussed bilateral issues, including economic cooperation, and emphasised coordinated efforts in the health sector, particularly preventing common diseases in neighbouring countries.

The Nepalese minister also gave an account on political developments and ongoing process in Nepal. He expressed gratitude to Bangladesh for supporting Nepal in various fields.
