djuice Lifestyle Fair begins in Chittagong

The two-day GrameenPhone fair titled 'djuice Lifestyle Fair', second of its kind after Dhaka, began here yesterday amid enthusiasm and fanfare.

President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of mobile giant Telenor Jon Fredrik formally opened the fair by cutting a ribbon at the hilltop community centre King of Chittagong.

" I am highly impressed by the huge response from people of Bangladesh especially of the younger segment of the society for the GrameenPhone brands," said the president of Telenor which is GrameenPhone's 62 percent Norwegian owner.

Erik Aas, CEO of GrameenPhone Ltd, said it is a matter of delight to note that the total number of GP subscribers in Bangladesh has exceeded 6.5 million (65 lakh).

Of this, around 11 lakh are Djuice subscribers, he added.

The fair focusing on the young people and their tastes offered various entertainment progra-mmes including sports, music and fun under one roof.

Tactical and non-tactical partners of Djuice are participating in the fair with their stalls where the organisers are offering Djuice connection, mobile sets, mobile contents like ring tones and wall papers, clothes, sports accessories, flexi load and other services, and foods to Djuice extra card holders at a special discount.
