Domestic help rescued from confinement
A teenage housemaid, confined in a house for last two days, was rescued by the police in the city yesterday.
On information, Kafrul police rescued Fatema, 15, from a house at North Kafrul area in the afternoon.
House owner Saiful Islam who works in a private farm went to Sylhet on Friday along with his family keeping the housemaid locked at the house.

Police took the girl in their custody and filed a case as complainant in this connection.
Fatema told the police that Saiful used to torture her and went to their village home leaving her with little food.
Police arrested one Abu Bakar Siddique, house tutor, on suspicion of his involvement in torturing the housemaid.
