DU to confer Doctor of Laws on Yunus
Dhaka University (DU) authorities decided to confer 'Doctor of Laws' (honoris causa) on Nobel laureate Prof Dr Mohammad Yunus at its 43rd convocation, sources said.
The authorities also fixed the schedule of the convocation on December 24, where Prof Yunus will be the Convocation Speaker.
Chaired by DU Vice-chancellor Prof SMA Faiz, university syndicate took the decision yesterday following a recommendation of university's academic council meeting, which was held on Wednesday, sources said.
