DU month-long vacation begins tomorrow

The university will reopen on November 11, sources said.

Meanwhile, DU Syndicate yesterday approved appointment of four lecturers at Islami Studies department with note of descent by two members.

Prof Sadeka Halim, one of the syndicate members, told The Daily Star that the appointments were not made on the basis of merit.

Bangladesh Chhatra League brought out a procession and held a rally in protest against the appointments and demanded immediate cancellation.
