DUJA continues boycotting BCL news
A group of activists of BCL, student wing of the main opposition Awami League, forcefully entered DUJA office to foil a press conference of a female BCL leader and misbehaved with the reporters present there on the June 7.
At the press conference, Mahbuba Rahman Shifu, female student secretary of Chittagong city unit BCL, alleged that immediately past BCL president Liaqat Sikdar gave her death threat and urged all to ensure her security.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. DUJA members brought out a silent procession on the campus yesterday wearing black badges on faces demanding organisational punishment to the responsible BCL leaders and activists.
They also held a rally in front of the Central Library.
Addressing the rally, DUJA President Mustak Ahmed Masud said though three days have gone after the incident, the BCL is yet to take any punitive action against the responsible persons.
He said DUJA would not sit for negotiation with BCL or any one else before it punishes the culprits.
