Duta demands cancellation of AL-bigots deal
Dhaka University Teachers' Association (Duta) yesterday demanded cancellation of the electoral agreement signed between Awami League and Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish.
"The deal is unacceptable to us and against the spirit of the War of Liberation and democracy," Duta said in a statement.
The AL signed the agreement with the Islamic organisation on Saturday, causing a stir in politico-intellectual circles.

The association called for scrapping such understanding that may create "divisions and fuel religious fanaticism".
