Factory worker succumbs to injuries in hospital
A factory worker, who was stabbed by unknown miscreants, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the city yesterday.
Nazrul Islam Khalifa, 35, a worker of Karim Jute Mills at Sharulia, Demra was admitted to DMCH with severe stab injuries on Sunday night.
His tongue was cut out and the body bore several marks of stab injuries, family sources said.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. They added that one Nurul Islam called out Nazrul from his house on Sunday at around 4:00pm. He was later found lying in pools of blood near Titas Gas area at Demra around 10:00 pm and was rushed to DMCH.
His family members claimed that Nazrul's intention to hinder different immoral activities of the local miscreants is the reason behind the murder.
