Falling pipes kill pedestrian
A pedestrian died after casing pipes of a piling machine fell on him in the city yesterday.
The victim, identified as Fazlul Karim, aged around 58, of West Rasulpur near Kamrangirchar, was going to the market at around 11:00am when some huge casing pipes of an under construction building collapsed on him.
Being severely injured, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on duty doctors declared him dead.
