FEMA to train polling and election agents

Twenty political activists from each of the four major political parties, namely BNP, Awami League, Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh and Jatiya Party (Ershad) from four constituencies in Gazipur district, will participate in the courses. The trained activists will train their fellow workers of their respective parties as polling agents for deployment in the polling booth in the ensuing parliamentary election, to ensure a free, fair and impartial election.

FEMA will organise 200 courses to train 6000 trainers as polling agents before the next election. It will also organise 40 training courses for imparting training to 1200 election agents (300 activists from each of the parties).

The training of polling agents is being held in the district headquarters.
