Five more JOCVs arrive
Five more members of Japanese Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCVs) arrived here yesterday in order to extend cooperation in such sectors as primary education, physical education, computer technique and vocational training.
They will work in public organisations for the next two years.
Later, the new JOCV members called on Ambassador of Japan Matsushiro Horiguchi at the Chancery.
Ambassador Horiguchi hoped that they would fully demonstrate their talents and skills for the benefit of Bangladesh.
At present, there are as many as 53 volunteers, all speaking the Bengali language, engaged in various activities throughout Bangladesh.
