FNB condemns killing of NGO worker
The Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh (FNB) condemned the killing of Jyosi Chakma, an NGO field worker of Brac, at Dighinala in Khagrachhari district, says a press release.
A gang of miscreants on December 5 attacked Jyosi when she was carrying the money for poor micro credit women. The miscreants stabbed her as she tried to resist them. The pregnant woman succumbed to her injuries immediately after she was taken to hospital in Chittagong.
FNB, along with its over 1000 member organisations, demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment to the culprits. It also demanded congenial environment for smooth operation of the NGOs.
