Ganges flow at Hardinge bridge satisfactory
The India-Bangladesh Joint Committee has observed that the flow of Ganges water at Hardinge bridge during the current ten-day period was satisfactory.
The observations came from a meeting of the committee held in Dhaka on Wednesday.
During a visit to the Hardinge bridge site by the joint committee, the flow of Ganges water on May 2 was found to be in excess of 40,000 cusecs, up from Bangladesh's due share of 35,000 cusecs for the ten-day dry period, said an Indian High Commission press release yesterday.

The joint committee agreed to hold its next meeting in New Delhi in June 2006 for finalisation of its annual report for 2006.
