Garments worker killed after rape in Keraniganj

The victim was identified as Monisha, 17, daughter of Shafiqul Islam Shaukat of Padma Char area in Madaripur.

Police and local people said the incident occurred at 12.30 am when Shahabuddin, 25, a renter of one Islam Chowdhury, allegedly killed Monisha after raping her and hung the body from the ceiling of the bathroom.

Police said Shaukat along with his family members was living at the rented the house of Islam Chowdhury at Islamabad area.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Mitford Hospital for autopsy.

A case was filed with Keraniganj Police Station in this connection.
