The District Bar Association at a meeting here yesterday decided to continue its court boycott programme in the district court until December 17.

The meeting was held at the Bar Association hall room amid police guard with its president Advocate Sultan Uddin in the chair.

Judicial activities of the court remained suspended for the last two weeks following the suicide bomb attacks in the Bar Association room on November 29 and on the DC office premises on December 1. Two bomb attacks left four lawyers killed and more than 20 people injured.

The lawyers will also abstain from taking deposition of the witnesses, arguments, hearings and other judicial activities from December 18 to 31 but they will participate in three types of judicial activities during the period.

The activities include seeking bails for the accused and on surrendering of the accused as well as filing of cases.
