Ghorasal Bridge named after Moyez Uddin
The Ghorasal Bridge over the river Shitalakhya has been named 'Shaheed Moyez Uddin Setu' by presidential order.
An official announcement said yesterday that the government took the decision to name the bridge after Shaheed Moyez Uddin, "one of the organisers of War of Liberation, a freedom fighter and politician, to pay respect to his memory".
There were earlier reports about naming the bridge after a Muslim holy man.
