Girl burnt to death in Keraniganj
A minor girl was burnt to death and five others were injured in a fire that also gutted seven shops and 28 tin-shed dwelling houses at Kaliganj Nayabari area on Tuesday night.
Witnesses said the fire originated from gas leakage at the house of Badal Mia at about 11:00pm and soon engulfed the nearby shops and houses, burning Taslima, 9, alive and inuring five others.
Fire fighters from Sadarghat and Keraniganj rushed to the spot and put out the blaze after 90 minutes of frantic efforts.
