GM Quader likely to float new party
GM Quader today indicated his intention to desert Jatiya Party (JP) and float a new party if JP Chairman HM Ershad decides to join the BNP led 4-party alliance.
Jatiya Party presidium is set to meet on November 5 at Diploma Engineers' Institution where a decision about joining the alliance will be taken, party sources said.
"If the meeting decides to join the alliance, I will immediately quit Jatiya Party and form a new party," said Quader, a lawmaker of now dissolved parliament and brother of Ershad.
He admitted that he did not receive invitation for the presidium meeting. "I don't know anything about the meeting nor do I have contact with the party chairman," Quader told UNB.
