Hartal observed in Joypurhat to protest outage

Shops, business establishments and educational institutions were closed during the hartal called by Bidyut Grahak Sangram Committee.

Vehicles were off the roads in Joypurhat town during hartal hours from 6:00am to 2:00pm, but the train service remained normal.

At 12:00 noon, people tried to lay siege to local power development board office, but the police put up barricade at Gulshan intersection to intercept the demonstrators.
