HC rule on DCC
The High Court yesterday issued a rule on Dhaka City Corporation to explain why the appointment of taxation officers of DCC shall not be declared unlawful.
A HC division bench also issued a stay order on the appointments, which will remain effective until the disposal of the rule.
The order came following a writ petition filed by 10 deputy taxation officers of DCC, including Abdul Alim Khan, challenging the appointments.
Barrister Abdur Razzaq moved for the petitioners while Advocate MK Hasan and Barrister Ehsan A Siddiq assisted him.
