Heritage launches Iftar items of old Dhaka

With a view to providing a feast for the taste buds of the residents of new town, the Heritage Restaurant introduced traditional and popular Iftar items of old Dhaka yesterday.

Master chef Tommy Miah of the restaurant, located at Gulshan, presented an array of food items, including Mutton chop, Jafrani Jilapi, Sheekh Kabab, Jali Kabab, Habibi Paya and Shahi Halim.

Rizwan Bin Farouq, managing director of the Heritage, said old Dhaka is famous for its traditional foods. "We have introduced some of the delicious Iftar items in our restaurant for the residents of new town."

"Apart from rich food items, we also ensure clean and hygienic environment in the kitchen," he added.

"The restaurant is designed to be hygienic with air conditioning and industrial exhaust system. Kitchen staffs are also trained on hygiene and food safety procedures."
