Hotel employee shot dead
A gunman fired on two employees of a residential hotel in old part of the city last night, leaving one of them dead.
The dead was identified as Abdur Rahim, 35. The other employee, Russell Akhter, 27, is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Russell said they were sitting at the cash counter of Swagatam Residential Hotel on the second floor of a six-storied building at Kazi Abdul Hamid Lane in Kotwali at 8:30pm when a young man appeared and wanted to know where the manager is.

Both of them received bullets in the chest.
The hotel staffs rushed them to the hospital, but Rahim died on the way.
