Husband beats wife to death at Uttara
A man beat his wife to death at Uttar Adabar in the capital yesterday while feuding over a trifling matter.
Monjuara Begum, 30, wife of rickshaw-puller Sheikh Dabir Uddin, died of internal haemorrhage in the abdomen, a Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue source said after the autopsy.
Neighbours said Monjuara and Dabir began a quarrel over food at 11:30pm on Saturday. The feud escalated and Dabir beat her up severely and she died on the spot at 12:15am yesterday, the neighbours added.
