Expressing his gratitude to Japan for its outstanding contribution towards nation building as well as infrastructure development of the country, the Foreign Minister said Japan is one of the most important friends of Bangladesh.
He also recalled the commendable help of Japan to Bangladeshi students under Monbusho Scholarship.

He stressed the need for further development of the economic relations between the two countries.
The new envoy told the FM that this year Japan has doubled its assistance to Bangladesh.
