Issuing fatwa at village Shalish condemned
Karmojibi Nari (KN) yesterday protested and condemned the incident of torturing women of a family and ostracising them by issuing fatwa at a village Shalish (arbitration), in Tanore at Rajshahi, says a press release.
Expressing strong resentment over the incident, Shirin Akter and Sharmin Kabir, president and general secretary of KN, at a joint statement, demanded impartial investigation of the incident, trial and exemplary punishment of the responsible for being inhuman to the family and for issuing the heinous fatwa.
