Italian envoy hosts lunch for top AL leaers
Key Awami League (AL) leaders had a lunch with western diplomats at the Gulshan residence of Italian Ambassador Pietro Ballero yesterday and exchanged views on various aspects of the coming elections, including reforms and voters list.
"It was an informal exchange of views...we explained our party's position on election issues and they listened to us," an Awami League leader, who attended the lunch, told the news agency.
AL leaders Abdur Razzak MP, Tofail Ahmed, Kazi Zafrullah MP, Syed Abul Hossain MP, Abul Mal Abdul Muhit, Saber Hossain Chowdhury and some former diplomats and civil servants attended the lunch.
