Japan to help improve storm water drainage system in city

M Emdadul Haque, deputy secretary, ERD-Japan Branch and Eiichiro Cho, Team Leader and Additional Resident Representative of JICA Bangladesh, signed the Minutes on behalf of their respective sides.

The Basic Design Study Team for the above-mentioned project was dispatched to Bangladesh in February.

After intensive field survey and discussion with authorities concerned, the team completed the Basic Design Study draft final report. In order to explain the contents of this draft report of the study, a four-member team arrived here on July 8.

All the sides agreed on the components of the project and on responsibilities of both the governments for implementing this project.

Based on this agreement, ERD, JICA, M/OLGRD & C and DWASA signed the Minutes of Discussion for the Basic Design Study.
