JSD expresses solidarity with RMG workers' demands

During the view exchange meeting at Colonel Taher auditorium in the city JSD leaders expressed solidarity with the demands of the workers and said that if Awami League led 14 party is voted to power in the next election, they would form national minimum wage commission for the garment workers.

The garment workers' demands included issuing appointment letters and identity cards to the workers, provision of eight hours working day, over-time for the extra hours and minimum wage set by the wage board.

JSD President Hasanul Huq Inu said that any kind of procrastination in the implementation of the tripartite agreement is tantamount to conspiracy.

He also urged the government to implement the agreement without any delay.

JSD General Secretary Syed Jafar Sazzad, Joint Secretary Sirin Akhter, Md Tawhidur Rahman, Salahuddin Swapan, Shirajul Islam Rony, Shamima Nasrin and other leaders were present at the programme.
