Khulna out of purview of hartal
Khulna city has been kept out of purview of tomorrow's countrywide half-day hartal called by Bangladesh Jubo League.
It was decided at an emergency meeting of Khulna district and city units of Jubo League at the party office on Saturday night to express solidarity with the half an hour Khulna halt programme of Greater Khulna Development Action Committee (GKDAC).
GKDAC called the 'Khulna Halt' programme from 11:00am to 11:30am today to press home its demands including, construction of deep sea port at Akram Point, revitalisation of Mongla Sea Port, construction of an airport, installation of TV centre and reopening of closed jute mills.
