Lawyers to form human chains on Dec 22

It was decided at a meeting at the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) building with SASP convener Barrister M Amir-ul Islam in the chair yesterday.

The meeting urged the lawyers to make the January 28 convention of the lawyers called by the Bangladesh Bar Council in protest against the bomb attacks and fundamentalist extremism and militancy in the country a success.

The SASP leaders also expressed their deep concern over the continuous bomb attacks and failure of the government in protecting the lives and properties of the people.

Bangladesh Bar Council Vice Chairman Barrister Rokanuddin Mahmud, SASP Joint Convener Barrister Shafique Ahmed, SCBA President Advocate Mahbubey Alam, former president advocate Ozair Farooq, SCBA Secretary Advocate M Enayetur Rahim and SASP member secretary advocate Subrata Chowdhury also spoke at the meeting.
