Make joint venture investments

She made the call when new Moroccan Ambassador to Bangladesh Mohammad Houroro made a courtesy on her at the Prime Minister's office.

She also stressed the need for cooperation between the two countries in agriculture sector and hoped that Morocco will take more manpower from Bangladesh.

The envoy said the existing excellent political relations and other commonalities between Bangladesh and Morocco should be utilised by making full use of the potentials in bilateral trade and commerce.

He appreciated pharmaceutical products, leather and jute goods of Bangladesh and proposed joint venture industries in Morocco so that commodities can be exported to European markets easily.

Khaleda welcomed the proposal and suggested close interaction between the businessmen of both the countries to enhance bilateral trade and investment.

The envoy conveyed best wishes of Moroccan King to Khaleda and reiterated his (King) invitation to her to visit Morocco.

The envoy pointed out that no highest level visit took place between the two countries for a long time. But such visits are necessary to further consolidate bilateral relations, he added.

Accepting the invitation, she said she will visit Morocco at a convenient time.

She recalled her meeting with King Mohammad VI during the special OIC meeting at Makkah and extended an invitation to the King through the envoy to visit Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister assured all cooperation to the envoy from the government in discharging his duties.

The envoy appreciated Bangladesh's progress in various sectors under her leadership.
