Manpower agent abducted

JM Shafiullah, 42, of Ahmednagar in Mirpur area was abducted on Tuesday.

Manik, an acquaintance of Shafiullah, called him over telephone at dawn and since then he did not return home yet.

Khairunnahar, wife of Shafiullah, filed a case with Mirpur Police Station in this regard on Sunday night after receiving a threat from Manik for ransom.

She said Manik demanded Tk 2 lakh in ransom for the release of Shafiullah.
