Memos to VC demanding action against JCD cadres
Jahangirnagar University Journalists Association, Bangladesh Manobadhikar Sangbadik Forum and the assaulted journalists submitted the memorandums to the VC at his office on Thursday.
Citing the incidents of repression on journalist by JCD musclemen in last month, they said it would be difficult for them to pursue their academic career on the campus if the attackers go unpunished.

On Tuesday, a group of 15 to 20 JCD cadres led by Fakhrul, Imran and Masum assaulted Rokonuzzaman Pias, JU correspondent of Muktakantha, following a row over some trivial issues at the guest room of Meer Musharraf Hossain Hall at 1:30am.
As Nuruzzaman, Munna and Fuad Hossain, JU correspondents of Manabzamin, Bangladesh Today and Ajker Kagoj respectively, thronged the scene to save their fellow colleague, the group also assaulted them in presence of Provost Shamsul Alam.
