More congratulations to Yunus

Brac Chairperson Fazle Hossain Abed in his message said 'This award for Prof Yunus and the Grameen Bank acknowledges the importance of home grown solutions to poverty elimination'.

Besides, Brac greeted Prof Yunus on the occasion.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Salehuddin Ahmed congratulated Prof Yunus on behalf of the bank.

Dhaka University Teachers' association (Duta) termed the achievement of Prof Yunus as the greatest achievement after the liberation war, adding, this achievement would encourage the country and nation for further progress.

Bangladesh Mahila Parishad in its message said 'Prof Muhammad Yunus devoted himself to the welfare of the poverty stricken people. In fact, he has struggled to empower women for over three decades'.

His achievement would strengthen the women of Bangladesh who frequently face deprivation and discrimination, it added.

Besides, Human Rights International, Jatiya Samajtantrik Sramik Jote, Bangladesh Council of Editors, Sonar Bangla Parishad, Bangladesh Association of Construction Industry (BACI), Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad, Amra Muktojoddhar Santan Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society, Multimode Transport Consultants Ltd, Bangladesh Institute of Homeopathic Physicians and Eastern Plaza Shop Owners' Co-operative Society Ltd congratulated Prof Yunus.
